The paper also examines ways that those students, through cooperation and interaction with others, can humanize their own learning process and raise their interest and concern for issues that affect themselves and the world around them. We will in particular look at one example of how a group of students in the backdrop of the radical social changes afoot in 1992 Hungary, undertook a learner-generated project in order to evaluate community perception regarding sensitive and controversial social issues of those times. This writer will demonstrate how the stages that those Hungarian students incorporated in their project correlates with the loosely structured and open-ended series of stages suggested by Fried Booth in his Project Work method.
